About The Liminal Compass

The Liminal Compass is a letter to the ones who live in-between. If you’ve spent your life translating yourself across languages, cultures, neurotypes or diagnoses and you’re tired of never quite fitting in, this space is for you.

About Me

I’m Maria, a Greek diaspora woman, third culture kid, late-diagnosed ADHDer, managing chronic fatigue and chronic pain. I’m someone who left her womb in the soil of her ancestors and was reborn a bit crabbier, a little wiser, and a lot more menopausal. I’ve spent my life between countries, neurotypes and states of health — and I’ve been writing my way through. The Liminal Compass began as a private practice and is slowly becoming a public one.

What Brought You Here

Perhaps you ended up here unexpectedly. Maybe you knew me already and wanted to know more, or saw a comment and thought she gets it. I write about what I know best: fitting everywhere a bit, but no place fully. If you’re here, you have personal experience of living liminally too. Whether it’s the reflections, poetry, neurodiverse topics or identity work that spoke to you most, somewhere deep down you understand that change takes time and effort, and you’re willing to enter the depths. That’s what I do here.

What You’ll Find Here

I write essays and poetry about bodies, grief, myth, and transformation. I provide journaling prompts for those who process through writing. I write about Greek myths as living archetypes, a legacy that was always a compass for the human condition, not just ancient history. This is a space for deep thought, personal reflections, and embodied transformation; a guide to help you along as you navigate your own liminality. It’s a space for people who don’t feel seen or represented in traditional spaces or the loud, unending rush of algorithmic modern living.

How the Writing Connects to the Work

This writing is also the foundation of how I work. I support people navigating identity, health, and life in transition. I work one to one and as an educational consultant with organisations serving people who are at the margins of established systems. The people I work with are often high-functioning, but under the efficiency they are struggling to integrate identities and lifestyles in a world that simply wasn’t built for them. How to Navigate

I publish roughly twice a month. No spam, no hustle content, just honest words from the in-between. Start with whatever piques your interest.

In Closing…

The Liminal Compass is the wisdom of the in-between, and it’s where our strength lives. Welcome.
